The Story of Three Trees is, at its core, one of prayers offered and answered.

Before we were introduced to the land we have lovingly called the Bear Heart Turtle Ranch, we worked for years with the disenfranchised and marginalized children adolescents and adults of our modern world. Like swimming upstream against cold currents which have eroded our society’s compassion and goodwill, we have seen the desperate need and prayed for a return to the True Center from which we all came. In 1999 we were brought to this place of majestic encircling Life in this forest in Watsonville, California. We new we had arrived Home. We knew, in the same moment, that this wonderful natural Sanctuary must be shared.

Our first act was to offer our Gratitude to the Creator and Earth Mother in Ceremony, and in respect to All Life. An Inipi (Ceremonies) was then built, and Calendar of Ceremonies and Prayer Circles for Healing of The People was begun. The land blessed us with Peace and Joy. Countless Prayers and Gatherings have followed. During the years that followed, we have entered into the Womb of the Earth Mother, Learned from the Sacred Fire, Listened to the Teaching of the Stone People, Acknowledged the Four Elements, and Honored All Life and Mystery as we are all related, as we are all One.
