Three Trees is a place of celebration and a place of prayer, but above all else, it is a place of healing. Sequoia had been happy and content in her work as an Artist Facilitator at the Salinas Valley State Prison when her life took a sudden, miraculous turn. In 1997, a well-known clairvoyant literally bumped into Sequoia. With one look at Sequoia, the clairvoyant realized something astounding: Sequoia's true nature was that of an energy channel and profound healer, and she didn't even know it.

Were spiritual guides leading these two strangers to meet that day? A Divine Force was certainly at play, because after a brief, unexpected ceremony, Sequoia's hands were transformed into tools of healing. She had arrived at the Paraiso Hot Springs that day as an art therapist enjoying a well-needed day off, but she left as a profound energy channel and master healer.

Sequoia takes no credit for her healing work. Both Sequoia and Jack, who is a sound healer of the highest order, believe that the healing does not come from them, but simply pours through them. In Sequoia's experience, light and warmth simply pour from her hands like a rushing river of healing.
