Spiritual Art
No wonder Three Trees is an oasis of spiritual art--both Sequoia and Jack are talented professional artists with decades of experience. In the early '90s, Jack and Sequoia were co-directors of the Fine Arts Discovery Program at Camarillo State Hospital. A few years later, Sequoia became Artist Facilitator at a state prison in the Salinas Valley, working with inmates in a creative multi-media program. Sequoia's paintings have been shown in fine arts galleries all across the United States.
Teaching Spiritual Art
Visitors to Three Trees and to the Three Trees website can experience Sequoia and Jack's spiritual art in a number of different ways. One of the best ways is through their delightful workshops. The art therapy workshops are experiential, transformative--and fun! Jack's healing music creates the perfect environment for guided imagery and hands-on creation.
Students are guided through work with clay and paint, sound and water. The work is creative and playful. It sparks the imagination, encouraging participants to let go of the past and throw their arms open wide to greet the present. These workshops can be tailored to meet the special needs of your unique group.
Additionally, individuals may purchase Sequoia's spiritual art to hang in their homes. She creates incredible, resonant oil paintings which swirl with color and pulse with life. Meditating on one of these life-affirming paintings will become a favorite part of your spiritual practice.
