Solstice Celebrations

The Three Trees Retreat is the ideal place for solstice celebrations. The solstices are sacred times when our thoughts and hearts turn to the beauty of Nature and the compassionate majesty of the Earth Mother. Three Trees is nestled within a forest of truly awe-inspiring beauty. The fresh air and graceful trees will heal the spirit as they uplift the heart.

Solstice Celebrations and the Sacred Forest
The sacred forest of eucalyptus and oak is a sight to be seen. Jack and Sequoia were drawn to this beautiful spot in Watsonville, California in 1999. From the moment they saw it, they recognized it as a gathering place for the people. At first, they imagined the place they came to affectionately call Bear Heart Turtle Ranch would simply be a place for healing.

Sequoia needed a sacred place to perform her work as a healing energy channel, and this seemed the ideal spot. Soon, however, Jack and Sequoia realized that their sacred forest was much more than just a place to heal. It was also a place to gather in celebration! They lovingly built the center which would become a place of learning, prayer and celebrations of all kinds.

Since building the yurt in 2002, the magnificent structure has been used for workshops, art therapy classes, solstice celebrations and more. The center is built to accommodate as many as 50 people, making it an ideal spot for solstice celebrations. The center is surrounded by decking, warmed by a wood-burning stove, and is acoustically remarkable.
