Healing Art
Although Sequoia worked as a professional artist and art therapist for decades, it wasn't until recently that she discovered her gift for creating healing art. Until 1997, Sequoia led inmates' and patients' arts programs, in her capacity as Artist Facilitator at Soledad Prison in California, co-director (along with Jack) of the Camarillo State Hospital fine arts program, and director of the multimedia arts program at Salinas Valley State Prison.
When Sequoia's true nature was revealed to her in 1997, she essentially stopped painting in order to devote herself to her work as an energy channel. An energy channel is one who is able to tap into the powerful energy of the Universe, and direct it toward the healing or enlightenment of others. In Sequoia's case, Divine energy miraculously pours through her healing hands. After discovering this gift, she willingly turned away from art, and toward energy healing.
Healing Art, Healing Hands
Jack and Sequoia's life together is truly one of Divine surprises! After relinquishing painting for healing, Sequoia was unexpectedly guided to paint again. She resisted the call at first, but could only refuse her guiding instincts for so long. Eventually, she turned to painting again.
Fortunately, she quickly realized that she should no longer create figurative paintings with brushes. Instead, she was guided to put her hands into the paint, and onto the canvas. The result is healing art that is not only beautiful, but a powerful source of energy. Those who hang this colorful, healing art from their walls will experience a flow of love, energy and healing throughout their homes and throughout their lives.
