In the Ancient Days The People knew the Power of Praying with the Land. The Temazcalli (Sweatbath) unites us with that Sacred intention and purifies one’s mind and body, bringing deep peace and tranquility as spiritual blessings. Though the Temazcalli one’s strength and patience is enhanced, however, this ceremony is not meant to be an endurance test.

The right combination of sacrifice and strong prayer brings great respect and blessing from Spirit (or however you perceive The Great Mystery). Through Honoring of The Sacred Four Directions in communion with Earth, Air, Wind and Fire we experience our Relatedness with All That Is. The lodge leader knows how much sacrifice and suffering is right for the people there. A Lodge that is too intense hinders spiritual value. The right amount of sacrifice tests, manifests, and brings one closer to the Goal of Existence; Oneness with All.
